Choose from four well appointed, spotlessly clean and fully self contained two bedroom country cottages with cosy log fires - "Jarrah", "Gumnut", "Banksia" and "Blue Gum". Each cottage sleeps up to 6 and all are thoughtfully equipped as a true "home away from home".
The cottages are offset for privacy with comfy cane lounges on each front verandah - a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of our bushland setting.
There's a BBQ area for outdoor dining and covered seating for each cottage. Adjacent to the pool/spa and recreation room you'll also find a separate large undercover pavilion with BBQ ,hotplates, slowcookers, pizza oven, kettle & toaster. There is an open fire to sit around and toast marshmellows and tables & benches that caters well for groups.
Chiltern Lodge is a popular venue for small group getaways. By booking all four cottages with a minimum occupancy of eight, you'll have the whole retreat to yourselves! Check out our group getaway page for more info.
Our Cottages
- Full size well equipped kitchen with microwave. Included are such things as washing up liquid, tea towels, gladwrap, alfoil, kitchen paper, salt & pepper, teapot, coffee plunger and iron.
- Lounge/dining area with cosy log fire to provide warmth and ambience for cool winter evenings.
- TV, DVD/CD players – bring along your favourite CD's!
- Ceiling fans and quiet split system air-conditioning for year-round comfort. Pleasant afternoon sea breezes ensure a comfortable temperature during warmer months.
- "Jarrah" cottage has disabled facilities in the bathroom. All other cottages have showers with hip baths suitable for bathing a small child.
- "Jarrah" and "Gumnut" cottages have ramp access.
- Laundry tub and washing machine in all cottages.
- Continental Breakfast Baskets and meal delivery available
- Quality linen, towels, bathrobes and hair dryer are supplied and there are electric blankets on all beds for the cooler months of the year.
- Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk for a cuppa on arrival.
Bedroom Setup
Each cottage has two bedrooms comfortably sleeping up to 6. Maximum occupancy for the whole retreat is 24 persons. There are 4 queen beds, 2 double beds and 12 singles. 6 of the singles are top bunks.
"Jarrah" and "Gum Nut" have a queen bedroom and 2 double bunks in the second room that sleeps four.
"Banksia" and "Blue Gum" have a queen room and a "tri bunk" in the second bedroom plus a separate single bed. A "tri bunk" is a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on top.
